MEET THE WRITERS

Sunday, May 20, at 2 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Library, we are offering a
"Meet the Writers" program
by Pat Scott

Award winning writer, Carol Crawford of Blue Ridge, will be reading from some of her original works. She has been published in the Atlanta-Constitution, The Chattahoochee Review, Dancing Shadow Review, The Journal of Kentucky Studies, Sow's Ear, the Southern Humanities Review, and the Georgia Journal . She is the holder of the Denny C. Plattner Award for excellence in poetry.

Sharing the bill will be Ken Johnson, one of our own Friends members and Committee Newsletter Chairman. Ken has taught "Writing Your Life's Story" at OASIS in Blairsville and ICL at Young Harris College. He is currently teaching "Creative Writing" at OASIS this quarter. Ken is a graduate of Grinnell College. He spent thirty years as a creative account executive in the field of national advertising. His poetry and one highly technical book have been published. Additionally he has written two books for children and is looking for an illustrator. His short stories and other poetry have been very well received.

Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see a good crowd there.
