Coffee House News
The Social Event of the Year
by Jane Thompson

Our first  Coffee House social  for the year, May 18,  was a  tremendous success. The guest speaker, Robert Honea, read from his book , Long Road Winding, spoke to us of his reasons and love for writing, and re\lated his plans for other  books he is now working on.

Our next Coffee House Social is scheduled for Sunday, July 20, at 2:00 pm in the multipurpose room of the library. Our guest speaker will be Charles Hill, author, humorist, and  native of  Blairsville.    He will be speaking on  his soon-to-be published  book,  Blood Mountain Covenant: A Son's Revenge, plus other  interesting facts and stories of the area.  Charles has been delighting audiences at other recent speaking engagements around the area and  if you have  not   heard him, you  have truly missed an experience.  If you have heard him,  he plans to give us new stories at this engagement, so come again and hear some  more  funny and interesting folklore of our area.

Also, mark your calendar for Sunday, September   28 ,for  our  next  guest speaker, George Berry,  and I promise you another interesting and entertaining Coffee House  Social!  More about that in the next newsletter.

These Socials are open to the public and we provide coffee and refreshments before and after the lectures.
