| Dear Friends of the Library, |
|
| It is with deep gratitude that I begin serving our community as president of Friends of Union County Library. I have enjoyed serving in the positions of publicity chair and secretary. It has been especially meaningful to me to be useful, even in my small way, as a Friend of the Library. The library is a great asset to our community and I appreciate the confidence placed in me to serve as president. I will do my utmost to continue in the excellent standard of the past presidents, Pattie Hamilton and Pat Scott. They leave a legacy of hard work and success. I hope to honor them and their achievements by upholding the excellence they demonstrated. |

| Each member of Friends of the Library is a crucial part of the vision for 2003. Please send in your ideas and thoughts to me anytime throughout the year at clancraig5@alltel.net. Please actively involve yourself whenever possible in the meetings on the third Wednesday of each month, in the library's multi-purpose room from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Your input, suggestions, ideas, and time are the ingredients for success. |
